Congratulations! On behalf of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts(NFAA), it is my distinct honor to invite you to participate in the NFAA ARTS week 2007. Out of over 8,000 students who participated in the Arts Recognition and Talent search (ARTS) program, you have been selected as one of 142 young artists who will travel to Miami, Florida, all-expenses paid to participate in ARTS Week 2007. You have been selected as 1 of 6 chosen to participate in Popular Voice.
ARTS WEEK is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is not a competition. ARTS WEEK is about meeting other incredibly talented and motivated artists from around the country. It is about working with professional artists and educators. ARTS Week is a celebration of YOU! Leave your "game face" at home. Come to Miami prepared to share, to perform, to exhibit, to learn, to grow....but not to compete.
The Miami auditions/interviews will determine your final award level in the ARTS program and your possible nomination to be named a 2007 Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Information regarding additional procedures for ARTS Week , including travel arrangements and hotel accommodations are enclosed.
Please call us immediately to acknowledge receipt of this notification and confirm your participation. You must be able to attend the entire week to accept this invitation. You must also return the enclosed materials no later than Friday, December 1st or risk forfeiting your ARTS Week invitation.
