Lauren Mazur, folk, jazz, acoustic singer
Her fresh folk-acoustic style is sure to brighten any event.
Lauren is currently studying with one of Nashvilles premier vocal coaches, Kim Wood Sandusky. Ms. Sandusky coaches many international acts including: Beyonce and Destinys Child, Jaci Velasquez and Pam Tillis.
Laurens vocal style has been described as a cross between Karen Carpenter, Norah Jones, and LeAnn Rimes. She has also performed in numerous local TV commercials. She has performed locally at many desirable venues including: "Robert's Stadium", "The Centre", "The Fall Festival main stage", "The Freedom Festival main stage", "Madelines", "RiRa's", "New Harmony Patio Jam" to name a few.
Through her Image Groomer in Nashville, Lauren has been invited to the 2005,2006,2007, and 2008 CMT Awards show, the 2007 CMA's, and 2007 Nashville Star(USA NETWORK). Lauren also appears in a recent Joe Nichols video, currently airing on CMT and GAC music channels.
Lauren was chosen to participate in the the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) ARTS week 2007. Out of over 7,300 students who participated in the Arts Recognition and Talent search (ARTS) program, she was selected as one of 6 popular style vocalists who traveled to Miami, Florida, all-expenses paid, in January, 2007 to participate in ARTS Week 2007. LAUREN WAS RECENTLY AWARDED THE 2006 "WARRICK COUNTY ARTS AWARD" from the Evansville Arts Council. Only one individual in Warrick Co. is presented this award each year for their contribution to the Arts/music in their community. Click to view photo of presentation.
